Low Total Operating Cost

Minimum Maintenance Cost with the Total AC System
DC motors have higher maintenance costs as periodical parts replacement is required, such as brushes and contactors. AE50/AM50 Series is powered by AC motors which don't need brushes and contactors. And the advantage of AC motor is not only low maintenance costs but high performance even at low battery levels.

Exceptional Durability with the Airtight Wet Disc Brake System
Fully sealed brakes protect ingress of water and dust. As there is no water and dust invasion stable brake performance is assured. Brake disc wear is minimal compared to traditional braking system so maintenace costs are significantly reduced.

IPX4* Waterproof Standard Specification
Komatsu AE50/AM50 Series meets the IPX4 waterproof standard. The proportional hydraulic control valves, control micro-switches, potentiometers and control signal circuits are all fully sealed to allow the trucks to be easily washed with running water.

Superb Traveling Performance Offered by Twin Drive Motors
AE50/AM50 is equipped with 2 drive motors. If one wheel should slip the other wheel will provide traction this allows the truck to travel over uneven and slippery surfaces with ease.

By raising the frame mounting position higher truck chassis sway is minimized in quick turns. By placing the battery lower the center of gravity is lowered. As a result, you can enjoy the fast and stable turning.

The AE50/AM50 Series features an advanced controller, which regulates all required functions, including the safety mechanisms such as traveling/lifting Operator Presence Sensing. Also the power saving function guarantees the AC motor's best performance even at higher battery discharging rates.

Ergonomic Combination Lever
Driver fatigue with conventional dash board mounted control levers is reduced by Ergonomic Combination Lever design. Correct ergonomic operating posture is achieved by using the forward-reverse switch which is integrated into the lift lever.

Traveling/Lifting Operator Presence Sensing(OPS)System
The OPS system prevents accidents caused by operators no being seated on the truck. Traveling and hydraulic systems only work while the operator is seated.

Adjustable Individual Setups
Functions such as traveling, lifting and tilting speeds can be adjusted according to individuals needs. These adjustments can easily on the meter panel at any time. With adjustable setups, operations can customised to individual drivers making operations smoother and more comfortable.

Comfortable Access to the Truck
The step and floor of the AE50/AM50 Series trucks are kept low and are open in order to minimize the operator effort during entry and exit. Access to the truck is further enhanced by the ergonomic design of the steering wheel and assisting grip.
